Week 9

Hello! Here is the overview of learning activities for week 9. There are lots of activities in Classroom this week for the children to complete. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the children for being so enthusiastic and working so hard and also to parents and carers for all the support you are giving them with their learning. It is lovely to see and hear about all the things the class have been doing but please just do what you can manage as there is no pressure to complete everything. Hope you have a good week.

Virtual Class School Photos – Deadline Today!!!

m1ssearnshaw

We would usually have year group photos during term 4 and we would love to recreate this.
Our plan is to create 2 photo collages for each year group:

  • 1 where pupils are wearing school uniform and smiling (as they would for a normal school photo)
  • 1 where pupils are wearing whatever they want (casual clothes or a costume) and holding a sign with a message to their class.

We thought this would be a lovely memento for everyone to have as well as keeping our classes as connected as possible during this difficult time.

If you would like your child to be included in their class collage then please upload your photos to this Google Form before 27.05.2020 and we will get started on the collage creations ASAP!

Week 11

Hello. The class got a lovely surprise on Friday when Mrs Cameron joined in the video chat. For those children who couldn’t make it she will be joining us again before the end of term so you’ll hopefully see her then.

The learning overview for this week is attached so you can see what’s available. The focus for transition is Moving on to P3 and there are activities which can be completed throughout the week. As usual there is no pressure to complete all/any tasks, they are optional.

Hope you have a lovely week.

Week 10

Here is the learning overview for this week. As part of transition and Health and Wellbeing, this week the focus for the class is looking back at their year in P2 and next week it will be looking ahead to P3.

It was lovely to see so many of the children engaging with learning activities again last week. They are a very creative and enthusiastic class! Many thanks for the continued support and help with learning tasks.

Week 7

I hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed Wellbeing Week last week. It was lovely to see the activities the class were sharing on Classroom and wonderful to see them in the Group meets on Friday.

Attached is the plan for this week and I hope the class manage to complete some of the activities. They are just a guide and it has been lovely to hear and see all the other things the children are learning too.

Have a good week!

Crown’s Got Talent! 🤩 – Virtual Talent Show!

An exciting message from Miss Earnshaw!

m1ssearnshaw

Have you got a talent that you think is worthy of the Crown’s Got Talent Show 2020?

We always have a talent show during term 4 and we don’t see why this year should be any different. It is such a lovely way to celebrate each other and this is more important than ever during these uncertain times. This is why we have decided to organise a virtual talent show this year.

We would love to see your amazing talents, whatever they may be! Please film your talent (e.g. dance routine, singing a song, playing an instrument, doing a magic trick etc.) and upload it to the attached Google Form by 29.05.2020. Please keep video entries to 3 minutes or less.

All entries will be compiled to create one amazing Crown’s Got Talent Movie which will be released on 01.06.2020!

We can’t wait to see all of your amazing entries!

Week 5

Hello. I hope you all had an enjoyable long weekend.

It was so lovely to see those that managed to make the Google Meet on Thursday and the smaller groups worked much better. This week the meet will be on Friday and I’ll post the times and groups on the classroom stream on Wednesday.

I’m attaching this week’s learning activities and please remember it is only a guide. Last week it was lovely to hear and see pictures showing about all the other amazing activities the children are doing at home to develop a whole range of life skills. As well as keeping up to date on what the class is doing at home it gives others ideas for activities too (myself included!).

Thank you again for your help and support last week with your child’s learning and hope you all have a good week.

Week 4

Thank you to all the parents for helping the children access the Google meet last week. It was so good to see the class. I’m aware that some children found it difficult to hear but for the first week it was nice to have as many as possible getting a chance to say a quick hello to their friends. This week the Google meet will take place on Thursday and children will be in groups of 6/7. I’ll post the details on the stream so the class know the group they’re in and the time of the meet.

I’ve attached the weekly learning plan so you can get an idea of the activities for this week. Tasks will be available to see on Google classroom at about 4pm for the next day. Remember in addition to the tasks listed the Highland Digital Learning Hub has a huge range of activities and resources to help with learning.

Thank you so much for your support shown last week.

Week 3

Good morning. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the sunny weather. I’m so glad to be back ‘teaching’ the children and it was really lovely to hear from them on Friday. I’ve attached the weekly learning overview although there is no pressure on children to complete all activities. Family circumstances, parents work commitments and online access will all impact how much families can do. If there are any problems or questions, please get in touch.

Have a good week.
