In Literacy, your child will receive their new reading book on Monday or Tuesday. They should practise reading the book with you. They can discuss what happens in the story and practise re-telling the story to you. We will be working on our letter formation, and also practising writing a sentence using a capital letter and a full stop correctly.
In Numeracy, we will continue looking at numbers up to 30/50/100 with children thinking about the number before, after and between. We will practise counting forwards and backwards from different starting numbers.
Homework will start this week and will be given out on Friday. It will be collected in on the following Thursday. Initially, it will take the form of spelling which the children can practise. I will add a list of different spelling activities you could do with your child to help them learn their words. The children will continue to have reading to practise every day.
This week our PE will be on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so could children have their PE kit on each of these days. We are practising throwing and catching a ball.
In HWB we have been looking at the key to being a good friend and this week we will look at different ways they children can use to resolve any of their differences. We are all looking at how we are all different but special in our own way.
