Look for a Book

Today, the children have received a letter about the ‘Look for a Book’ scheme, inside a polypocket. This nationwide scheme, publicised on Facebook – #LookforaBookScotland is to encourage children to read more. The plan is for you to hide a book, along with the form stating who has hidden the book, somewhere in your neighbourhood. The lucky finder can keep the book as long as they want, then complete the form and rehide the book.

I would like to start this in Crown. If your child wants to, they can choose a book which they have finished with, and using the polypocket for the book and the completed form, they can bring the book to school. They will be given time to go and hide their book somewhere in school, or the playground. Other classes will also have the opportunity to find these books and hopefully we will encourage the children to read more.
